My journey in Electrical Engineering and AI Research
I'm Ronny Abdullah, a passionate Electrical Engineering student at Stanford University with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence. I'm currently maintaining a 3.7 GPA while pursuing my Bachelor's degree, expected to graduate in June 2026.
My academic journey has been marked by several honors and fellowships, including being a Rising Bird Fellow, Dalai Lama Fellow, and receiving the Award of Excellence. I'm also proud to be an SSFP Scholar and SSEA Scholar, recognizing my commitment to academic excellence and research innovation.
I'm deeply involved in research at Stanford, working in the Robust Systems Group under Professor Subhasish Mitra on AI for hardware verification. This research combines my passion for both hardware systems and artificial intelligence, allowing me to work on cutting-edge projects that bridge these two domains.
Building an AI-augmented verification system to analyze and simulate RTL-level designs using LLMs and symbolic execution. Developing synthesis-aware logic debuggers and contributing to research on integrating formal methods with language models.
Leading weekly lab sections and office hours for over 30 students, supporting hands-on projects in embedded systems, analog/digital circuits, and PCB debugging. Reviewing and grading design reviews, lab reports, and final presentations.
Built and deployed an AI-driven iOS app from scratch that learns from users' lecture notes, videos, audio, and note-taking patterns to generate custom learning plans, flashcards, practice questions, and tutorials. Integrated OpenAI and WolframAlpha APIs for multi-modal reasoning.
Designed and implemented backend services using Python and Flask, including database schema design (PostgreSQL) and RESTful API endpoints. Improved API response times by over 40% by refactoring routes and caching frequent queries.
Contributed to the development of LabGym, an AI-based tool for automated behavioral analysis in neuroscience experiments. Built and optimized model pipelines for classifying rodent behavior from video frames using convolutional neural networks.
